A Character Design for Non-Profit Organization, Books for Kids.
This Character is designed with the initial concept of a tree as a place of wonder and creativity. Twig is a character that is designed for an organization that helps children in need to read, we came up with a concept that is flexible and reflects childlike curiosity, Twig can be whatever the child wishes it to be, much like how they choose books that reflects their interests and personalities.
Team: Donna Hadfield, Baron Santiago
We first created simple shapes that depict trees, there has been many iterations of different friendly looking trees. The aim is to make Twig approachable towards children.
Bhinneka is a typographic experiment that focuses on my roots; where I came from, and about the language and culture I've grown up with.
I wanted to create something that can reveal the history of Indonesia through the more simplistic language of graphic design, whilst also hinting the darker and often forgotten past behind the colonization and erasure of our traditional cultural identity during that time period.
Titled 'bhinneka', which means "diversity" from the Indonesian motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" translated to "Unity in Diversity", my project aims to illustrate the coming together of all of the different parts of culture to form the identity of Indonesia today.
room is an app designed to connect people who are constantly bounded by the restrictions of time differences.
Users can easily organize media files, using the "collection" system and can also set the right time to catch up, so that they can make room for things that really matter, their time with their family and friends.
This is a prototype of the application as seen on an iPhone SE, The app allows users to "book" a time with their contacts and have push notifications so they won't miss their contacts being online.
